The Newport Orchestra Program would like to invite you to attend a night of music and dance at our annual fundraising event, Ballet Knights!

This year, Newport Orchestra is excited to collaborate with Evergreen City Ballet to present a brand-new production of Coppélia, an enchanting, family ballet, perfect for young and old alike, where love triumphs over all in a comedy of mistaken identity. Coppélia will feature live music performed by the Newport Philharmonic, conducted by Barney Blough, and dance performed by the Evergreen City Ballet, under the direction of Maximiliano Guerra with choreography by Myriam Barroso. This unique collaboration provides young musicians and dancers with the experience of working together on a live show, resulting in a wonderfully joyful performance that’s sure to enchant audiences of all ages. Coppélia will be held May 3-5 at the Newport Performing Arts Center.

Three performances of Coppélia will be presented at Newport High School Performing Arts Center at 7pm on Friday, May 3; 7pm on Saturday, May 4; and 2pm on Sunday, May 5. Tickets are 25 dollars for adults and 10 dollars for students and are available at Bellevue School District Box Office.

Of course, there will be plenty of fabulous gourmet desserts to enjoy, along with coffee, tea, and cookies. In addition. we will host an online auction throughout the weekend of the show. All of the money raised will go to support the Newport Orchestra Program by providing sectional coaching, financial assistance for trips, instrument maintenance, and everything else related to helping students learn about and enjoy music. Please follow this link to our Online Auction and cast your bid on our many auction items.

We hope you will join us May 3-5 at Newport Performing Arts Center!
