Supporters Of Newport Orchestra (SONO) is a non-profit booster organization established to
- Support the Newport High School Orchestra program
- Enhance music education
- Communicate with parents
- Encourage students at all levels of participation
SONO accomplishes this by
- Supporting the orchestra and director through fundraisers and volunteer participation
- Enhancing the orchestra program by providing chamber music coaching and music, assisting in the organization of retreats, invitationals, and supplemental education opportunities and performances
- Communicating through SONO web site, the school newsletter and email correspondence
